Advantage for dogs was the first real topical made for dog flea control. It had both an ingredient for killing the fleas and for stopping the eggs and larvae from developing. Now, the fact is that the eggs and larvae are not on the dog, but still, it sounds good. It works well and is comparatively priced.
K9 Advantix for dogs is the newest on the market. It is a combination of the original) Advantage and the old BioSpot. We sold BioSpot for eons. It was convenient but had the disadvantage of entering the blood stream. Somehow the idea of using just enough poison to stop the bugs and not the pet, does not sound good. Not only are the individual ingredents the same, but there are massive warnings to not use Advantix on cats. BioSpot used to kill cats as well.
Capstar for dogs is not really a topical treatment. It is a oral treatment that can be given to the dogs that will kill the fleas immediately, typically within an hour. The fleas run when you put it on, and the dogs scratch like mad for about 15 minutes. It has no residual effect and will not continue to kill the fleas within hours after being taken. But by then, all of the fleas are dead and the dog will not be reinfested until he goes back into an environment with live fleas. At that point, the dog is totally suseptable to being reinfested. You always have to follow it up with a topical like Advantage or Frontline to keep the dog free of fleas for any length of time.

Original WWII Signed Aviation Works are Barely Around Anymore

Aviation Artist Robert Taylor created a large selection of prints of aviation’s most beautiful and interesting World War II aircraft in action. A multi-award winning artist, his works can be found in collections all over the world. These aviation art prints number in the thousands, specifically for aviation art collectors and aviation enthusiasts in general.
The Robert Taylor aviation art of the Royal Air Force, US Air Force, and Luftwaffe can be broken into sections of individual prints of those aircraft, and sometimes into individual squadron pages of such prints.

Colon Cleanse My Way To Better Health

One article that caught my attention is one that talks about different colon cleanser choices. I never thought it was more complex than just making a laxative, which by the way is not recommended. There is more to cleaning the colon than just going to toilet more often. That and possibly end up hooked on laxatives in the long term.
So in my quest to learn about colon cleansing and colon cleansers I discovered quite a bit and averted making a bad choice in how to go about the whole operation. The first being the laxative thing I already cited. Another is to be on the look out for pills that are really just laxatives in camouflage. The last thing I need is to think I’m are doing something good and really just acquiring a laxative habit.
I see all the product makers hype weight loss as a side effect of a colon cleansing. That’s not my first concern but it is a welcome side effect. Who wouldn’t appreciate a little extra weight loss in America today? If I can get fitter and lose a little weight at the same time, I’m all for it.
Here’s to greater health, a little weight loss and hoping that this cleansing the colon thing doesn’t leave me afraid to be more than 10 feet from the tiolet.

Choosing Effective Basement Waterproofing Solutions

Investigate
Go outside during the next rain storm to see what is happening. Look at you rain gutters. Is water spilling over the sides? Check out where your down spouts empty to. Are they spilling out right next to your basement? Is surface water being directed toward your home. Are there low spots next to your home where water is ponding? Grading

If water is laying in puddles, or deeper next to your home, no basement waterproofing product or method is going to work to its full potential.
Re-grading your yard is probably a job for a professional landscaper. Besides repairing your basement water problem, you must also consider preserving the value of your home or, improving the value from a professional job well done. If you have other landscaping needs or dreams, now is a good time to consider adding them to your project. You could have a flooded basement insurance claim.
Rain Gutters
If your outside inspection revealed that your rain gutters are spilling over, they are probably clogged with leaves or other debris. Get your rain gutters cleaned out so they can direct your roof water away from your basement.
If your downspouts are dumping water next to your home, add extension pipes to direct the water at least 10 feet away. You should also consider extending underground drain pipes out to the street or down over a slope away from your home. Successful basement waterproofing is a multi-phased approach.
Humidity
If your basement problem is only a dampness issue, this requires a completely different approach. Humidity problems are common to basements because they are underground and cooler than upstairs areas. Humidity and condensation are attracted to the basement because of the cooler temperatures. The word condensation refers to the principle that warmer air volumes shrink as they enter the colder basement. When the air volume shrinks, the moisture in that air collects together and forms droplets of water. These droplets form on cold water pipes, cold basement floors and walls and are absorbed into porous concrete, carpets and furniture. This constant dampness is what helps feed unpleasant odors in the basement.
Get a good dehumidifier to mechanically remove this extra humidity from your basement. Make sure to get a deicer feature to prevent it from freezing up in the cooler lower level. A drain hose is another good feature. It will free you from having to empty the collection pan several times a day.
